Eesti avangardi ühe juhi, Leonhard Lapini “Autoportree Veenusena” on eesti aktikunsti ikoonilisemaid teoseid omas žanris.  Siiditrükitehnikas negatiivis versioon Lapini porgandpaljas autoportreest on eneseteadlik pastišš kunstiajaloos alates renessansist levinud lamavas asendis alasti Veenuse kujutamisele.

“Self-Portrait as Venus” by Leonhard Lapin, one of the leaders of the Estonian avant-garde, is one of the most iconic works of Estonian nude art in its genre. The negative version of Lapin’s carrot-naked self-portrait in silkscreen technique is a self-conscious pastiche of the depiction of the reclining nude Venus that has been common in art history since the Renaissance.
